Louise has over 73,000 nm logged, and has been operating boats in Scotland, England, Wales, Western Mexico, Southern California, Caribbean Windward and Leeward Islands, New England, Newfoundland, east and west Florida and the Keys, Bahamas, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Azores, Gibraltar, Canaries, Bermuda, Portugal, Mediterranean: Italy, Croatia, Malta, Balearic Islands, French & Italian Riviera, South Spain.

Other experience includes work as an office manager for a small boat building company and various offices in London, as a nanny and lock keeper in London, sailor and runner in the Scottish Islands Peaks Race, relief work with the Karen hill tribes in Thailand, Outward Bound Instructor in Malaysia, and research for a paper in Southern India. She also has training as a Beach Lifeguard and conversational French and Spanish.

Louise first came to Tortola aged 18, in the early years of her yachting career. Apart from time on land while at London University, she has been living on the boats she's worked on, "This will be unusual to be in one place so long, but a most welcomed change." She continues, "This is a good move, as not only will I improve as a sailor, we will have a base where our nearest and dearest will be able to visit us!"
